BiographyDr. Wilma Bonaparte is a Council for the Spanish Speaking, Inc. board member and serves as the chair of the Education/Program Committee. Wilma has a doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
Wilma is the Associate Dean for Liberal Arts & Sciences and Health Occupations at the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) where she implemented the first state-wide bilingual program for Child Care Providers. Prior to working at MATC, Wilma worked at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as the Assistant to the Director of the Spanish Speaking Outreach Institute. In the past she has served on the board of directors of the United Community Center and was a member of the Early Childhood Diversity Steering Committee. Wilma has received educational and community based awards such as Recipient Title VII Bilingual Doctoral Fellowship and Exemplary Leader in Education. Return to Board of Directors |
